Get a Freight Quote from FleetSetu Before You Book a Truck

Calling five transporters for one load eats up a whole day and still leaves you guessing. Here is how FleetSetu’s free freight quote works, what you need to share, and why businesses across India use it before booking a truck.

The Freight Problem Nobody Puts on a Spreadsheet

Picture a dispatch manager at a mid-sized manufacturer in Manesar. A load of 14 tonnes has to reach a distributor in Pune by Friday. She calls the transporter they normally use. He is busy and promises to call back. She calls two brokers from her phone book. One quotes a number that sounds too good to be true, the other quotes ₹9,000 more. Neither asks what kind of truck the goods need or whether there is a forklift at the delivery end. By lunch she has three numbers, no clear comparison, and a plant head asking why the truck still is not booked.

This is how a huge share of freight still gets booked in India. It is not that businesses do not care about cost. It is that the process of finding a fair rate is slow, scattered across phone calls and WhatsApp chats, and full of surprises that show up only on the final bill: detention charges, extra loading points, an unplanned toll route, a vehicle that turned out to be the wrong size.

The stakes are not small. A 2025 report by NCAER and DPIIT put India’s logistics cost for 2023-24 at ₹24.01 lakh crore, about 7.97% of GDP, and road transport carries the largest share of the country’s freight. When most of your goods move by truck, even a few thousand rupees saved or lost per load adds up very quickly over a year.

What the FleetSetu Freight Quote Actually Is

The FleetSetu freight quote is a short, three-step request form for businesses that need to move goods by road anywhere in India. You tell us where the load is going, what it is, and who to contact. Our freight desk reviews it and sends back a formal quotation, usually within 24 to 48 hours.

It is free, and there is no obligation to book. Plenty of businesses use it simply to check whether the rate they pay today is fair. That is completely fine with us. A good quote should earn the booking on its own.

  • Step 1, Route: pickup and delivery locations with pincodes, pickup date and shipment type
  • Step 2, Cargo: goods description, packages, weight, dimensions, vehicle and handling needs
  • Step 3, Business: company and contact details, optional GSTIN and a packing list upload
  • A reference number arrives by email as soon as you submit
  • A formal quotation follows within 24 to 48 hours

Why This Is Different from Calling Around

The biggest difference is that the quote starts from your shipment, not from a guess. A broker on the phone often gives a number before knowing whether your cargo is fragile, whether it can be stacked, or whether the consignee has a loading dock. Our form asks those questions upfront, so the vehicle and the price are planned around what you are actually shipping.

The second difference is that you get it in writing. A clear quotation with a reference number is far easier to compare, forward to your finance team, or hold someone to later than a number someone said over a call at 11 in the morning.

The third difference is who is behind it. FleetSetu builds transport management software and B2B logistics software used by transporters, fleet owners and shippers every day. We spend our working lives inside the problems that make freight messy: missing PODs, unplanned detention, wrong vehicles, billing disputes. That shapes how we prepare a quote. We would rather ask one extra question now than argue over the bill later.

  • Quotes are built around your cargo, route and handling needs
  • Written quotation with a reference number, not a verbal estimate
  • Serviceability, vehicle availability and lane rates checked before we quote
  • One point of contact instead of five different phone numbers

The Numbers Behind FleetSetu

Trust in logistics is earned load by load, so here is where we stand today. FleetSetu has served 6,274+ businesses, managed 2.3+ million shipments and supported 1,300+ fleet vehicles on the platform. Our customer satisfaction rate stands at 99%, and the team behind it brings 10+ years of experience in Indian transport and logistics.

Those numbers matter for one simple reason. When you request a quote, it is handled by people who have watched millions of shipments move across Indian roads and know where things usually go wrong. That experience is what turns a quote from a rough number into a plan you can actually rely on.

  • 6,274+ businesses served across India
  • 2.3+ million shipments managed
  • 1,300+ fleet vehicles on the platform
  • 99% customer satisfaction rate
  • 10+ years of experience in transport and logistics

One Request, Many Kinds of Cargo

Not every load fits a standard truck, and not every business ships the same way. Some need a dedicated Full Truck Load (FTL) for a single large consignment. Others are moving machinery, steel coils or project cargo that needs a flatbed or a high bed trailer. The form handles both. Pick FTL for a dedicated truck, or choose Other and describe what you need.

If you are not sure which vehicle is right, select Not Sure. That is a perfectly normal answer. Tell us the goods, the approximate weight and the package count, and our team will suggest the right truck size. Guessing too small leads to a second trip, and guessing too big means paying for space you did not use.

  • Open body trucks, closed containers, flatbeds, high bed trailers and LCVs
  • Multiple materials in one request, each with its own packaging and weight
  • Loading and unloading support: manual labour, forklift, or crane / hydra
  • Optional transit insurance based on your declared goods value
  • E-Way Bill support for consignments that need one
  • Upload a packing list, invoice or LR as PDF, Excel or image (up to 10 MB)

Local Lanes, National Reach

FleetSetu is headquartered in Gurugram, so the Delhi NCR industrial belt is home ground for us. Manesar, Bawal, Faridabad, Noida and Sonipat all ship goods every day to the rest of the country. But the quote form is not limited to one region. You can request a rate between any two valid Indian pincodes, and our team confirms serviceability for your exact pickup and delivery points during the review.

Whether it is auto parts going from Gurugram to Chennai, FMCG cartons moving from Bhiwandi to Nagpur, textiles from Surat to Kolkata, or machinery from Ahmedabad to Hyderabad, the process is the same: share the route and cargo once, and get a clear, written rate back.

How to Get a Quote That Matches the Final Bill

Most freight disputes do not come from bad intentions. They come from missing information. The weight was higher than expected, the delivery had a second drop point nobody mentioned, or the truck waited six hours because the warehouse was closed for stock-taking. A few minutes of detail in the form saves a lot of back-and-forth later.

Under GST rules, an E-Way Bill is generally required for road movement of goods worth more than ₹50,000, with some state-specific and commodity-specific exceptions. If your consignment needs one, tick E-Way Bill Support Required and we will guide you. Our earlier post on digital LR and E-Way Bill compliance explains why getting this right matters at state checkposts.

  • Use exact pincodes, not just the city name
  • Give the closest weight you can, per material or in total
  • Add dimensions for bulky, long or odd-shaped goods
  • Flag fragile, non-stackable or high-value cargo upfront
  • Mention loading support available at both ends
  • Note any second pickup or drop point in the remarks

Where the Rest of FleetSetu Fits In

The freight quote is the easiest way to start working with FleetSetu, but it is only one part of what we do. Transporters and fleet owners use our transport management software to run trips, digital LRs, driver advances and billing. Shippers and distributors use our B2B logistics platform for carrier bidding, SLA tracking and freight audit. Warehouses run inventory and dispatch on our warehouse management software.

We also offer free tools that many small transporters use every day, like the Builty generator for printing lorry receipts and the Trip Sheet generator. If you like the way your first quote is handled, these are natural next steps. If you only ever need the quote, that is fine too.

Getting Your First Quote

If you have a load coming up, the quickest way to know what it should cost is to ask. Open the Get a Quote page, fill in the three steps, and keep an eye on your inbox for the reference number. It only takes a few minutes.

For an urgent shipment or a bulk contract on a regular lane, call our freight desk on +919220901110 or write to [email protected]. Either way, you will get a straight answer and a rate you can actually plan around.
